Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Law Attorney in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess over seven years of experience in employment law, with a strong understanding of federal and state regulations. This full-time position supports the firm's employment law practice.
Duties- Conduct legal research and draft motions and legal documents.
- Handle BOLI and EEOC charges and investigations.
- Review employee handbooks and policies.
- Participate in litigation, including discovery and depositions.
- Train and mentor junior associates.
- 7+ years of employment law experience.
- Litigation experience, at least as a second chair.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Oregon or Washington State Bar admission or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Interest in labor law is a plus.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Bar admission in Oregon or Washington.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and client service acumen.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Productivity and discretionary merit bonuses.
