Production-Inventory Control Associate

As a Production-Inventory Control Associate, you will be responsible for planning procurement activities based on inventory usage, maximizing Bill of Materials efficiencies, and incorporating best inventory and supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss. You will work in a fast-paced, constantly moving manufacturing and assembly warehouse, ensuring adequate raw materials and components are stocked and procured daily to maintain continuous manufacturing controls.

Responsibilities
  • Plan procurement activities based on inventory usage.
  • Maximize Bill of Materials efficiencies.
  • Incorporate best inventory and supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss.
  • Cycle count and purchase required materials.
  • Support managing materials to meet all market demands while avoiding oversupply.
  • Review invoices and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Enter purchase orders for materials.
  • Produce regular progress reports.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory accuracy using SAGE ERP.
  • Conduct daily inventory cycle counts and audits.
  • Assist in raw materials and product planning.
  • Oversee excess stock and reconciliation of inventory.
  • Train staff on inventory processes.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory control/inventory planning.
  • ERP experience required (training provided on the system).
  • Skill in cycle counting, inventory audits, and data entry.
  • Experience with inputting and tracking purchase orders and product planning.
  • Experience with procurement and purchasing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel skills.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment, specializing in industrial hoses and accessories, with a focus on maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere. Most of your time will be spent at the Poly-Flow site, with occasional work at a nearby location. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
