L3 - Training Specialist – Transdev North America

Our team is built on safety, professionalism, and personal responsibility. Training Specialists help trainees acquire new skills and apply them in real‑world situations, while upholding safety as the top priority.

• Maintain high safety standards inside and outside the vehicle.
• Conduct classroom and in‑car training sessions for new hires and upskilling programs.
• Assist in creating and updating training programs and materials.
• Act as a mentor, providing career and academic advice.
• Orchestrate training for multiple trainees simultaneously.
• Standardize training practices across the organization.
• Participate in weekly meetings with managers and peers to discuss training improvements.
• Welcome and onboard new hires in a professional manner.
• Serve as a deputy for technology, communicating with management, engineers, and the public.
• Participate in operational missions to stay updated on autonomous vehicle technology.
• Comply with the zero‑tolerance alcohol and drug policy and participate in random drug testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 3 years driving on public roads.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 4‑year college degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 months operating and testing autonomous vehicle required.

• Proficiency with laptop computers and GSuite apps (Gmail, Hangouts, Drive, Sheets, Docs).
• Proficiency with touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and quick, concise expression of thoughts.
• Ability to respond quickly to multiple scenarios and changing technology.
• Cross‑functional communication and issue escalation skills.
• Self‑motivated with good judgment in high‑stress environments.
• Availability to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel up to 30% of the time.

• Long periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
• Use hands for operating controls and communication; climb stairs or ladders.
• Occasional reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 45 pounds.
• Excellent visual acuity, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Most work performed outdoors in a vehicle.

• Must be 21 years old.
• All employees must complete a pre‑employment drug screen and background check; safety‑sensitive positions require a physical screening.
• Drug‑free workplace; may require random drug screening.
• Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license when required.
• For U.S. applicants, eligibility to work without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record suitable for regular driving duties.

• Competitive compensation: minimum $28.00 – maximum $31.00 hourly.
• Vacation: minimum one (1) week.
• Sick days: 5 days.
• Holidays: 6 days.
• Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability.
