- Disinfect touch-points and wipe surfaces
- Ensure restrooms and terminals are clean including furniture, glass, and outside cleaning
- Respond to janitorial emergencies
- Provide basic floor care tasks such as vacuuming, daily carpet spotting, sweeping and mopping
- Confirm all equipment is in good and safe working condition
- Dust, empty trash, stock restrooms, clean walls, windows and countertops
- Communicate with supervisors about inventory needs
Benefits
SEIU benefits include medical, dental, paid time off, paid sick days, and paid holidays. Employees must complete 1040 hours of work and maintain 120 hours a month to be benefits eligible.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous training in janitorial field or at least six months work experience in the janitorial field, including the following areas:
- General Daily Office Cleaning.
- Restroom Cleaning.
- Daily Carpet Care.
- Periodic Cleaning.
- Must have dependable transportation to work site to maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances for their site.
- Must have a working knowledge of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual cleaning schedules.
- Appropriate grooming and hygiene
- Appropriate interaction with co-workers, to include appropriate language for the work place.
- Proper handling of customer requests and complaints with professional interaction.
- The ability to take direction from supervisor.
- Ability to pass drug screening and criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment.

Janitorial Relay is one of the largest janitorial service providers in the greater Portland area. Our team proudly cleans shared spaces such as the award-winning Portland International Airport (PDX), Portland State University (PSU), and Portland City Hall.
