Facilities Maintenance Technician

The role involves supporting custodial operations and assisting the facilities team in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the building. Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning tasks such as emptying trash, sweeping, polishing floors, and other general custodial duties. The position also requires cleaning machinery by removing dust, dirt, grease, and waste materials, as well as monitoring and emptying machine chip bins.
Additionally, the role includes conducting daily safety inspections on equipment to ensure proper operation and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in Custodial duties.
- Assist facilities team with maintaining building facilities.
- Performs custodial duties such as emptying trash, sweeping and polishing floors as well as other cleaning functions.
- Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
- Monitors and empties machine chip bins.
- Perform daily safety check lists on equipment.
- Previous cleaning or custodial experience in industrial environment
- Mechanical Aptitude
- This position supports engineering and prototyping operations as well as final assembly and testing for the fluid-power systems prior to final sign off.
- Very clean machine shop, new and organized tooling, motivated crew that believes in teamwork and making each other better.
- Day Shift: 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
