As our Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain and repair buildings, equipment, and facilities across PPCW locations in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

We're looking for a reliable, versatile maintenance professional with a broad range of hands-on skills and the ability to work independently. You'll manage a daily queue of repair requests, perform preventive and planned maintenance, and respond to unexpected issues that require quick thinking and practical solutions.

This is a great opportunity for a dependable self-starter who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and wants to use their skills to support an organization making a meaningful difference.

What You'll Do

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll work independently and collaboratively with our Facilities & Security team to support the upkeep, safety, and operational efficiency of our buildings.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Troubleshoot and complete light plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs within your skills and training
  • Repair or replace furniture, fixtures, and other building components
  • Assist with diagnosing and repairing medical equipment, including exam tables, centrifuges, ultrasound equipment, and similar devices
  • Complete preventive and scheduled maintenance to help minimize disruptions to health center operations
  • Receive, prioritize, and track maintenance requests through our digital work-order system
  • Communicate building issues, repair progress, and completed work clearly to team leadership and colleagues
  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs while balancing daily assignments and longer-term projects
  • Travel between PPCW locations to provide onsite facilities support
  • Help maintain safe, clean, secure, and functional spaces for patients, employees, and visitors
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for occasional after-hours facilities emergencies

Successful candidates will be comfortable balancing planned maintenance with unpredictable, urgent requests. Strong time management, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential to minimizing facility downtime and keeping our health centers operating smoothly.

The position also requires flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance needs, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or other hours outside the regular schedule. Participation in an on-call rotation for occasional after-hours emergencies is required.
