JH Kelly is Hiring an Experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our SPG/Commercial Projects in Milwaukie, OR

Summary:
As a Mechanical Project Manager – Dryside/Sheet Metal focused, you will thrive in a collaborative team environment, leading project teams and overseeing initiatives from inception to completion. You'll be responsible for estimating, executing, and finalizing project work.
The successful candidate will have a strong dryside/sheet metal mechanical background and wet mechanical would be a plus, and enjoy quick-paced construction schedules, along with tackling mechanical retrofit projects, new construction, multi-family, and industrial projects.
- Project Size Range:
Fully manage and run multiple projects ranging from $1,000 to $2mm in size and complexity, with an annual book of work ranging from $4MM-10MM - All responsibilities of the Project Manager with the ability to self-generate future project workflow
- Expertise in all aspects of project management for multiple markets and sectors, geographic regions, and client base
- Lead multiple teams to successful outcomes
- Develop relationships and repeat business with customers’ key decision-makers
- Develop a high level of proficiency and trust with senior management to be self-sufficient and produce consistently positive outcomes
Oversee construction activities at assigned job sites, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards. Responsible for running the entire project’s life cycle, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, coordinating, financial aspects, managing, and mentoring.
Project Manager’s Accountabilities:
- Projects are completed at or below budget
- Projects are completed at or ahead of schedule
- There are no unresolved safety or quality issues on the projects
- Train and develop project staff personnel
- A satisfied customer
- Billings are prepared and collected timely
- Assure the accuracy and timeliness of all data associated with essential functions
- Follow all standard company processes and policies
- Satisfied shareholders
The Project Manager reports to the Vice President of the Special Projects Group based out of Milwaukie, OR.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure, follow, and promote Company safety and quality protocols
- Plan and manage the project schedule and account for variances in the plan
- Plan and manage the project estimate
- Manage and control project cost and account for variances to the estimate
- Create accurate projections of cost at completion
- Plan and manage the project control systems
- Direct activities of project staff personnel
- Staff projects with capable resources
- Manage and support Project Managers in the performance of their responsibilities
- Assure the consistent application of project control procedures across projects
- Market/Sell JH Kelly services
- Mentor and manage Interns, Field Engineers, Project Engineers, and other project team members
- Relationships:
Including shop and field craft personnel; and supervision coworkers, Customer representatives, Vendors, Suppliers, and Subcontractors, Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, and IT, All Project Teams - Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts

Experience /
Qualifications:
- Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil engineering degree and/or equivalent experience or education, Trade experience is a plus and will count for equivalent
- 4+ years plus full Project Management life cycle experience in the applicable construction and mechanical industry
