Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily
OverviewThe Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high-level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high performing teams to maximize the property performance.
EssentialJob Duties
- Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Assist in providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.
- Support the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.
- Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain a positive living environment for residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
- General office, bookkeeping and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.
- Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting to improve performance.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Be able to manage a team and work with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational training required
- 3+ years of Property Management experience
- 1+ years of Management experience
This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical DemandsEmployees may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools, and travel between buildings in varying outdoor conditions. The role may require sitting or standing for up to 85% of the time. Travel up to 15% may be required. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently or constantly as needed.

Compensation & BenefitsCushman & Wakefield provides a benefits package including health, vision, dental insurance; flexible spending accounts; health savings accounts; retirement plans; life and disability insurance; paid and unpaid time away from work. Salary range: $23.80 - $28.00 per hour. Pay may vary by location, experience, and other factors.
