PurposeThe Regional Construction Manager oversees the timely and efficient completion of homes in multiple job sites. This position controls the time management, cost, and quality of the construction projects and works alongside other department leaders to create a systematic, consistent, and highly efficient build process.

- Accountable for the development and execution of strategic production goals for the region.
- Promote innovation regarding processes and procedures for regional home production.
- Alongside Purchasing department direct the proposal, negotiation and selection of trade partners/vendors and architectural design components, consistent with PHI specifications.
- Attend seminars and/or conferences to stay informed on construction trends and codes both regionally and nationally.
- Oversee construction scheduling process and systems for assigned communities.
- Coordinate start schedule of each home for assigned communities.
- Effectively manage designated regional field personnel.
- Train and mentor department members on proper PHI procedures: PHI quality standards & expectations, PO system, Schedules, Building Specifications and Change Orders.
- Assist with field problem solving, provide guidance with work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with all trade partners.
- Monitor the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and hold status meetings with management and field staff.
- Consistent periodic inspection of construction sites and product.
- Support field teams with agency inspections and code requirements.
- Track redlines of plans / layouts as needed.
- Administer annual performance and compensation reviews of designated field team members.
- Administer hiring, terminations and disciplinary functions as needed.
- Partner with Safety Manager to provide proactive leadership and assume ownership of company safety for assigned region (OSHA and/or L&I compliance).
- Ensure quality control measures, procedures, audits, and company Core Values are being upheld across all projects.
- Using strong leadership skills, establish /promote core values with all department managers.
- Work with other departments on trade base needs, pricing, budgeting, plat logistics , specifications, and QC/QA processes.

The specific skills, experience, and specialized certifications/education required for the job
- 10+ years of residential construction project management required.
- 10+ years of supervision experience required.
- Proficiency in various computer programs used in the construction field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction, including best practices in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of negotiation process with contractors.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to lead a team through specific benchmarked goals.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational communication skills.
- Strong project management skills and ability to enroll others in company initiative.
- Advanced knowledge of safety/OSHA compliance
