Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Centers

Location:
Portland and Surrounding

Salary Range: $130,000 to $180,000 base

Our client's team specializes in constructing mission‑critical data centers that ensure secure, reliable access to information. We deliver comprehensive electrical solutions, including design support, installation, and commissioning services for complex data center environments nationwide.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of data center construction projects and leading high‑performing project teams. You will manage planning, execution, and financial performance while ensuring alignment with company values and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from qualification and estimating through pre‑construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met safely, professionally, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, including scheduling and coordination with field leadership.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, invoice review, and reporting.
  • Negotiate and manage change orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project team members to support long‑term growth and performance.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in electrical construction or related activities in a leadership role managing multi‑million‑dollar projects.
  • 8-10 years of experience managing teams and electrical construction projects within commercial, utility, alternative energy, or data center markets.
