The ORR Business Operations Director is responsible for all facets of internal and external business direction for all ORR programs. This position works with ORR Program Directors and other program staff to guide program development and ensure successful daily business operations. It collaborates with all stakeholders to respond to business needs and position programs successfully with Morrison departments and outside constituents.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Develop operational structure and oversee operations of the programs, coordinating with all Morrison departments.
- Serve as an administrator and provide project management for the implementation of the Relias e‑learning system.
- Work with Morrison Administration on infection control practices, including pandemic response and planning.
- Implement and maintain Joint Commission Accreditation practices.
- Collaborate with HR on agency‑wide staff training development and other HR‑related compliance items.
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to enhance customer service, develop contracts, and manage compliance.
- Ensure all business operations comply with state and federal guidelines and Morrison policy and procedure.
- Work closely with Division Director and other assigned staff for all aspects of program start‑ups or program changes.
- Submit OMB Performance Progress Reports (PPRs) ongoingly.
- Develop budgets with Business Operations Manager, Division Director and Financial Analyst, and ensure fiscal management through training and monitoring staff providing direct fiscal services.
- Collaborate with ORR Project Officer and ORR Grants Officer on fiscal reporting required by ORR for continued funding.
- Manage the grant application process for ORR and any new funding projects.
- Manage audits from funders and corrective action reports.
- Oversee critical incident reporting.
- Serve as ORR’s Electronic Health Records (UAC Portal / PATH) administrator for Morrison.
- Provide training for other non‑Morrison care providers when requested by programs and/or funders.
- Develop, delegate, and ensure core committees such as Agency Quality Improvement, Medication Administration, Sanctuary Core, and others function successfully.
- Handle facilities management, including contracts with Morrison and landlords, and facility environment oversight.
- Support contractors and maintain contract development and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing, ORR policies, and procedures.
- Oversee utilization reviews.
- Assist with special projects with the ORR program or agency‑wide as needed.
- Provide coverage for Division Director as needed.
- Understand and participate in Morrison Compliance Program, including Compliance Officer, Compliance Standards of Conduct, and Employee Compliance Hotline.
- Ensure compliance training requirements (HIPAA, client privacy, fraud, waste, abuse) are met and concerns are reported timely.
- Implement compliance monitoring activities and corrective actions in collaboration with the VP of Quality & Compliance or Q&C staff.
- Demonstrate commitment to developing a thorough knowledge of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.
