Die Cutter Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Die Cutter Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine operation, particularly in the printing and packaging sectors, and will be responsible for setting up and maintaining die cutting equipment to ensure precise and efficient production.

• Review job ticket to understand specific requirements.

• Conduct pre-make ready procedures as necessary.

• Set up die, counter plates, stripping section, and press.

• Pull front trim as required during operations.

• Clean counter plates and strip down dies after use.

• Maintain cleanliness around the press area.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.

• Deliver cut cartons to the finishing department.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in machine operation and general maintenance.

• Experience in die cutting and setting up machines.

• Mechanical aptitude with a focus on printing and packaging.

• Familiarity with printing press operations.

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop alternative solutions.

• Strong customer service skills, responding promptly to customer needs.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, open to new ideas.

• Organizational support, following policies and procedures.

• Sound judgment and accuracy in work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
