ABOUT THE ROLE
The maintenance mechanic works with various departments throughout the manufacturing environment to maintain, plan, and provide mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to, personal protective equipment and other health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gears, reducers, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, valves, and pumps.
- Troubleshoot and repair of conveyor belt systems and bucket elevators.
- Cut, weld, and fabricate components as needed.
- Apply preventive maintenance practices to enhance operational effectiveness on a regular schedule.
- Assist electricians and other maintenance personnel in performing different tasks as needed.
- Interprets mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct machinery maintenance.
- Assist equipment operators as necessary and improve operator efficiency.
- Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements throughout supervisory personnel.
- Demonstrate best practices for the facility's safe operation and contribute to safety improvement efforts.
- Assist engineers on routine tasks as needed.
- Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- or 4 to 5 years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or other industrial environment.
- Fabrication and layout of special projects will be necessary in this role.
- Experience operating Boom and Scissor lifts and maintaining a safe environment.
- Competitive salary
