Pay: $30-$40/hour
Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
* Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble heavy industrial equipment and mechanical components.
* Perform detailed inspections of parts and assemblies to determine wear, damage, and repair requirements.
* Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and repair specifications.
* Verify component alignment, fit, and mechanical functionality during assembly and rebuild processes.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, measurements, repairs, and completed work.
* Coordinate with machinists, welders, and other shop personnel to support equipment rebuilds and production schedules.
* Operate shop equipment and tools safely and effectively.
* Ensure work is completed according to quality standards, specifications, and safety procedures.
* Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
* Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Mechanical Assembly Technician
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
* 5-10 years of millwright, mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or equipment rebuild experience preferred.
* Strong experience with disassembly and reassembly of heavy industrial equipment required.
* Proficiency using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and related instruments required.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical specifications.
* Strong understanding of mechanical tolerances, fits, alignments, and inspection procedures.
* Experience working in heavy industrial, manufacturing, machining, or equipment repair environments preferred.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment.
* Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
* Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy components and equipment as needed.
