Plant Utility Worker

Eco Lube Recovery, a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company, is seeking a Plant Utility Worker to join its team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of the refinery operations, this role offers hands‑on experience across a variety of plant tasks, providing an excellent opportunity to learn the processes and grow into a more specialized position as opportunities arise. Both day and swing shifts are available.

• Assist with loading and offloading bulk transport liquids and dry goods.
• Perform basic laboratory analysis to support plant operations.
• Utilize computer systems for data entry, email communication, and record keeping.
• Support refinery operations by changing strainers, investigating temperatures and pressures, and manually operating valves.
• Participate in plant maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, greasing, lubrication, and temperature evaluation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping tasks.
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment and promote a culture of safety through responsible work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand instructions provided in English.
• Previous experience in a refinery or industrial setting is beneficial.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights over 30 feet.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds, carry 10-20 pounds, and push/pull up to 250 pounds with mechanical assistance.
