Production Specialist
Location:
PORTLAND, OR
Pay Rate: $21-24/hr
Shift: day
Description:
This role is highly administrative and requires a strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office. Key responsibilities include supporting the Production Supervisor with production scheduling and order conversions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned:
• Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the manufacturing facility.
• Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options as well as implement solutions.
• Analyze production processed and scheduled to identify opportunities for improving coordination of production, quality, and shipping.
• Create, compile, and prepare documentation related to production schedules and inventory
• Provide support between operations, customer service, sales and backup to production.
• Interface with the production database and maintain accurate and up to date information within the system.
• Create process documentation, work instructions, and workflow diagrams.
• Establish and focus on priorities, assigned workloads and difficult and complex assignments amidst frequent interruptions.
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery
• Cooperatively provides hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor Degree preferred.
• 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail and with tight deadlines a priority.
• Must work well as a part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the team.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
HIPAA Certification
COMPUTER SKILLS
Demonstrated expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity
with ERP system preferred.
