PCB Assembly Technician – Short-Term Prototype Build Assignment
Location: Portland, OR
Pay: $25.00–$30.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: 1–2 Day Assignment | Immediate Start Available
Kelly is hiring a PCB Assembly Technician for a short-term prototype build project with a growing electronics manufacturing team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced electronics assembler who enjoys precision work, soldering, and building high-quality electronic assemblies.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in PCB assembly, hand soldering, SMT, through-hole components, and electronic manufacturing who can quickly step into a controlled production environment and follow detailed work instructions.
Responsibilities- Assemble PCB assemblies and electronic subcomponents following detailed work instructions
- Perform hand soldering of SMT and through-hole components
- Complete repetitive precision assembly while maintaining quality standards
- Inspect completed assemblies for workmanship and accuracy
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or assembly issues and communicate concerns
- Follow controlled processes, build instructions, and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation
- Document build completion and production information as required
- Previous experience with PCB assembly or electronic manufacturing required
- Hands‑on soldering experience required
- Experience with SMT and through-hole components preferred
- Ability to work with small components requiring strong attention to detail
- Comfortable following detailed assembly instructions and quality standards
- Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity
