Job Purpose
The General Production Worker (GPW) is responsible for processing, screening, and packaging product to ensure it meets or exceeds customer expectations. GPWs must follow all safety, GMP, and quality processes at every step of production to ensure the integrity of the product and the safety of all team members. Personal hygiene standards must be maintained.
Hours:
1st Shift 7:00am-3:00pm; 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm; 3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:00am.
- Inspect product on various lines to check for foreign material and ensure product meets customer specifications such as proper color, size, shape, etc.
- Properly stack product to maintain accurate case counts for each product.
- Assemble and tape boxes at a fast pace to keep up with production lines.
- Pack product in boxes based on customer specifications, ensuring proper weight and product count.
- Train new hires and transferred team members.
- Learn general production positions and rotate among departments (corn and flour) as required.
- Follow general manufacturing, safety, and quality processes.
- Immediately communicate product, equipment, quality, safety, or HR concerns to lead and/or supervisor.
- Complete ongoing production, quality, safety, and training requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, keep free of debris and foreign material, and return tools/equipment at shift end.
- Notify Supervisor or QA of contamination concerns.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned.
- Perform duties on the GPW Training Checklist within the expected training period.
- Follow directions and stay on task with little to no supervision.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management in a professional manner.
- Read and understand GMP operation standards, manuals, and related documentation.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including flexibility of wrists and hands, strength, and sufficient mobility for walking, bending, standing, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must stand or walk on concrete floor for up to 8 hours a day.

Must meet personal hygiene and dress standards; maintain good personal hygiene; clean nails, clothing, and hair; jewelry, torn/ripped clothing, and other loose material prohibited on the production floor.
Benefits and CompensationStarting pay $19.20 per hour with shift increase for second and third shift. Benefit package includes paid time off, 401(k) plan, and affordable health, life, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits.
