Lift Truck Operator

Georgia Pacific in Portland, OR is seeking a Lift Truck Operator to join our team. The role is part of the collective bargaining agreement, with a starting pay of $29.13 per hour.

Work Schedule:

Day shift, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM, four days per week. Applicants must be willing to work at least one weekend day, possibly both, and to work overtime as needed.

• Safely operate forklifts and other machinery, including pre‑operating checks, loading/unloading barges, moving product within the warehouse, and stacking at heights of 10–18 feet.
• Support a safe working environment by wearing appropriate PPE.
• Use hand tools and equipment while handling product up to 50 lb.
• Use a computer terminal/tablet to obtain work assignments, complete assignments, and provide accurate counts of finished goods.
• Operate a forklift with lift weights up to 7,000 lb for 10+ hours each day using various attachments.

• Experience using a computer.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience driving and operating a forklift in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
