Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide manufacturing expertise in component assembly, vehicle assembly, vehicle operations, and various manufacturing processes.
  • Provide engineering expertise in integrating workforce, equipment, systems, processes, methods, materials, and facilities into a cohesive, cost‑efficient and productive system.
  • Participate in System Development Teams on New Product Development Projects, representing Manufacturing Engineering and Truck Manufacturing Plants.
  • Use concurrent engineering and Production Oriented Design (POD) to identify and resolve production‑related problems ahead of implementations into the plants.
  • Provide on‑site tryout and pre‑series coverage for New Product Introduction (NPI) vehicle builds, offering feedback, root‑cause analysis, and problem resolution support.
  • Develop, procure, and install equipment, fixtures, and tools at five DTNA Truck Manufacturing Plants.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiencies of manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate current assembly processes and assess capital investment plans for future production requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred, or 2+ years of relevant experience or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Team‑oriented professional with strong problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work well within a team‑based atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5‑S, CI, process mapping, Kaizen, PDCA, visual management).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software; knowledge of NX, AutoCAD, and/or Solid Works is preferred.
  • Travel within the U.S. and Mexico (approximately 25% of the time).
  • Degree focus in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields is an advantage; knowledge and application of basic mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering principles preferred.
Benefits and Compensation

Starting salary range: $86,000 – $110,000 USD, dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Portland, OR, U.S. The position is hybrid, requiring four days per week in‑office and one day remote.
