Forklift Operator, Material Handler
This position will be responsible for operating a forklift for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, and stacking for accurate storing, shipping, relabelling, and receiving of product to meet standards of safety, security, and productivity. The role also includes unloading bulk non‑hazardous material deliveries and troubleshooting day‑to‑day shipping activities. The employee will be cross‑trained to flex over and assist in other material handling areas as required.
Responsibilities- Operate forklift to move, stack, and store product.
- Unload bulk non-hazardous deliveries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily shipping activities.
- Assist in other material handling duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Operate a sweeper and scrubber as required.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
- Minimum 2–3 years of warehousing experience in a chemical environment preferred.
- Must be able to drive a forklift and lift 55 lbs. by hand.
- Computer literate; able to operate a calculator, telephone, fax machine, copier, and computer printer.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with all departments, levels of management, and peers.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Expected compensation range: $41,070.00 to $60,236.00 plus discretionary bonuses.
