CNC Lathe Operator
Now hiring for a CNC Lathe Operator in Portland, OR. Pay rate: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 6 AM – 3 PM. This opportunity lets you program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality.
Job duties include:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Load raw materials and monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Perform routine tool changes, offsets, and minor machine adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
- Inspect parts throughout the production process and document inspection results.
- Identify and report machine malfunctions, quality concerns, or production issues to supervisors.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and manufacturing standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and continuous improvement goals.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of lathe experience.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Steel-toe shoes.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
