Position: CNC Mill/Lathe Setup Machinist
Location:
NE Portland, OR (Marine Drive Area) Pay: $22.00-$35.00+/hr DOE (All experience levels encouraged to apply)
Schedule:
Day Shift or Swing Shift Available

WhatYou'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for production and job shop work
- Load materials, install tooling, and verify machine setups
- Make tool wear offsets and machine adjustments to maintain quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous process improvement
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
- Competitive starting pay of $22.00-$35.00+/hr DOE

- Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
- Basic understanding of machining practices and tooling
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Ability to perform machine setups with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic
- Preferred Experience with CNC programming (G-code or conversational programming)
- Job shop or production machining experience
- Experience holding tight tolerances
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar controls
