Etch Line Preparation: test chemical baths, determine additions to bring chemistry to specification, adjust baths and monitor concentrations;
Chemical Cleaning and Rinsing: submerge parts in alkaline/acid baths, rinse and transfer to drying ovens, perform hot water rinses;
Penetrant Line Operation: apply fluorescent penetrant liquid, allow penetrant absorption, wash and dry castings, develop with powder developer;
Process Documentation: complete logs and records including alkaline concentration, bath etch rates, chemical additions, and part lots;
Maintenance and
Housekeeping: perform maintenance on equipment and keep areas clean and orderly;
Safety Compliance: follow plant and department safety rules and use protective gear; may handle hazardous waste
