The Role
You’ll be responsible for supervising the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of onsite water and wastewater treatment systems, with a particular focus on UPW production and critical plant uptime
.
- Overseeing day-to-day water, wastewater and UPW operations
- Leading and supporting onsite Operations Technicians
- Operating and monitoring systems including reverse osmosis (RO), UV, ion exchange and advanced filtration
- Troubleshooting pumps, valves, instrumentation, membranes and process equipment
- Responding to alarms and process excursions and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting preventative maintenance and system reliability initiatives
- Monitoring water quality and critical process parameters
- Ensuring compliance with LOTO, chemical handling, environmental and operational safety procedures
- Supporting startup, shutdown and operational procedures
- Developing and improving SOPs, maintenance documentation and operational guidelines
- Maintaining accurate operational records, process data and inventory
- Identifying opportunities to improve plant performance, reliability and water efficiency
- Supporting a facility operating in a 24/7 advanced manufacturing environment
We’re interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within:
- Ultrapure Water /
UPW - Industrial wastewater treatment
- Semiconductor or electronics manufacturing
- Pharmaceutical / biotech manufacturing
- Advanced manufacturing
- Industrial utilities or high-purity process water
- Strong hands-on understanding of RO, ion exchange, filtration and water chemistry
- Previous supervisory, lead operator or senior technician experience
- Experience with process instrumentation and basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, process schematics and technical documentation
- Experience with pumps, valves, chemical feed and treatment systems
- Strong knowledge of LOTO and industrial chemical safety
- The ability to lead a team while remaining technically hands‑on
- Flexibility to support an onsite operation, including some on‑call responsibility
