General Laborer
Locations: Richmond, VA | Chesterfield, VA | Ashland, VA | McKenney, VA | Prince George, VA | Petersburg, VA | Colonial Heights, VA and surrounding areas
Pay: $14.00–$18.00 per hour

Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts | 5- or 6-day workweeks | Some positions require weekend work
We are looking for dependable General Laborers for a variety of manufacturing, warehouse, production, construction, and distribution positions throughout Central Virginia. The type of work will vary depending on the assignment, but may include material handling, loading and unloading, production, packaging, assembly, cleaning, sorting, moving materials, and general labor duties
.
Some positions are entry-level and provide on-the-job training, while others may require previous warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or production experience. The right candidate should be dependable, willing to work, able to follow directions, and comfortable working in a physical and fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesDepending on the position, duties may include:
- Perform general labor and production duties as assigned.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, and materials.
- Move, carry, stage, and organize materials and finished products.
- Assist with warehouse and manufacturing operations.
- Sort, package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
- Assist with assembly, production, and other hands-on tasks.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment when required.
- Help maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Remove trash, debris, and other materials from work areas.
- Assist coworkers and supervisors with daily projects and production needs.
- Follow work instructions and complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials and products for damage or quality issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other general labor and material handling duties as needed.
Schedules will depend on the position and may include:
- 8-hour shifts
- 12-hour shifts
- First, second, or third shift
- 5-day workweeks
- 6-day workweeks
- Saturday and/or Sunday work for some positions
Specific hours and days will be discussed before placement. Candidates should be comfortable working the schedule required for the position.
Qualifications- Previous general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, production, construction, or material handling experience is a plus.
- Entry-level opportunities may be available depending on the assignment.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable and dependable with good attendance.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to perform different tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable performing physical labor.
- Willing to follow all company safety requirements.
- Must be available to work weekends when required by the assignment.
Physical requirements will vary by assignment but may include:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials as required.
- Loading and unloading materials and products.
- Working around machinery, warehouse equipment, production areas, or construction materials.
- Working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Pay ranges from $14.00–$18.00 per hour
