Operates laser machine and traveling or stationary overhead crane (ground controlled) to lift, move, and position loads of steel within the production facility.

Location:

Portland, OR Pay: $24.00 – $31.11 per hour Job Type: Full-Time (Swing Shift, Mon - Thurs 1:00 PM - 11:30PM)

Most employees start between $24.00 and $26.50. The higher end of the range, $31.11, is reserved for candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications.

Setup and Operation:
Select lenses, load programs, and calculate machine specifications based on material thickness and type.

Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the equipment.

Material Handling:
Cut materials and prepare products for shipment.

Safety Compliance:
Follow all OSHA and ISO standards and safety procedures.

Collaboration:

Assist other machine operators and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is beneficial.

Experience:

Prior experience with laser cutting machines and proficiency in working with various materials like steel, copper, and aluminum.

Skills:

Ability to read blueprints, understand lift techniques, and knowledge of tool maintenance.
