Opti Staffing is Hiring! Position:
Swing Shift Welder

Location:

NE Portland, OR Pay: $25+/hr DOE

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM

Who We Are:

Opti Staffing is partnering with a local manufacturing company that specializes in building industrial attachments. We’re looking for an experienced Welder to join their swing shift team. This is a hands‑on welding and fabrication position primarily focused on MIG and FCAW welding.

What You’ll Do:
  • Weld industrial attachments and related components using primarily MIG and FCAW processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment.
  • Fit and weld components according to specifications.
  • Inspect welds and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy.
  • Perform grinding, fitting, and other fabrication work as needed.
  • Make adjustments to welding settings and techniques based on material and application.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety and quality standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules.

What You Need to Have:
  • Previous MIG welding experience.
  • FCAW welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Experience setting up and operating welding equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
The Musts:
  • Solid MIG welding experience.
  • FCAW experience.
  • Ability to produce consistent, quality welds.
  • Ability to safely operate welding equipment and fabrication tools.
  • Ability to work the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM swing shift.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience welding industrial equipment or attachments.
  • Heavy fabrication experience.
  • Experience with structural welding and fitting.
  • Ability to perform grinding, cutting, fitting, and other fabrication tasks.
  • Welding certifications are a plus.
