Opti Staffing is partnering with a well-established precision manufacturing company in NE Portland that is looking for a CNC Mill Operator to join their production team. This is a great opportunity for a new graduate from a MHCC, CCC or PCC Machining Program! This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC Mill machining experience who is comfortable loading and operating machines, inspecting parts, and keeping production running efficiently.

This is primarily an operator/button-pusher position, with opportunities to develop additional CNC skills over time.

• Operate CNC Mills during production runs
• Load and unload materials and finished parts
• Start machines and monitor operations
• Perform basic machine adjustments and set up
• Change tooling as required
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Read basic blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
• Identify quality issues and notify the appropriate team members
• Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Work with the production and quality teams to meet daily goals

• Previous CNC Mill Machining / Operating experience
• Experience operating CNC mills
• Ability to read basic blueprints and machining specifications
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Basic understanding of machining and quality standards
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and a good work ethic

• CNC Mill experience
• Previous experience in a production or job shop environment
• Familiarity with machine offsets and basic program edits
• Basic knowledge of G-code or conversational programming
• Experience working with tight-tolerance parts
