Mig Welder

DPI Staffing is hiring a skilled MIG Welder with experience in structural fabrication for our customer in the Portland, OR area. If you know your way around a blueprint, take pride in clean welds, and have a good eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

$23.00–$26.00/hr

• Weld structural steel and metal components using MIG welding techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Fit, tack, and weld assemblies according to project specifications
• Prepare surfaces by grinding, cleaning, or cutting before welding
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy
• Follow safety and quality standards at all times
• Maintain welding equipment and report any issues
• Work closely with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors

• Proven experience with MIG welding in a structural or fabrication setting
• Solid understanding of MIG techniques and filler materials for carbon steel
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• Comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment
• Strong basic math and measurement skills
