Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grants Manager (Interim / Temp-to-Hire) for a mission-driven, nonprofit organization focused on advancing community-centered public health initiatives. This role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration required in a Pacific Northwest metropolitan area.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Grants Manager will play a critical role in supporting a high-volume portfolio of federally and state-funded programs during a period of immediate operational need. This position partners closely with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant submissions, post-award coordination, and technical assistance to program leaders. The ideal candidate brings strong federal grants expertise, exceptional writing and project management skills, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and coordinate federal and state grant submissions, reporting, and compliance activities
  • Serve as a grants liaison, partnering with internal teams, funders, and collaborators to support high-quality applications and deliverables
  • Provide technical assistance to program leaders on scopes of work, timelines, and submission requirements
  • Support post-award administration, including award setup, amendments, and reporting coordination
  • Maintain organized grants documentation, calendars, and tracking systems to ensure deadlines are met
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of grants workflows during a fast-paced coverage period
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated experience managing federal grants and compliance, including submissions and reporting
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with common grants platforms and Microsoft-based tools
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This temp-to-hire role offers an hourly pay range of approximately $35.00-$44.00, depending on experience. Benefits eligibility is available after 30 days for those working 32+ hours per week.
