Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Portland, Oregon.
Start date:
04/01/2026.
Schedule:
36 hours per week, 12-hour nights.

Travel. Part-time position with negotiable pay per week: $2,579.

Facility in Portland, Oregon. This is a travel nursing job for an RN in Labor and Delivery with Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing.
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting, assessing maternal and fetal health.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols (e.g., preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress).
- Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results; assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
- Comply with regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
- Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing as assigned.
- One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC).
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills.
- Physical Abilities: able to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

able to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. - Mental Requirements: able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain concentration; able to work with or without close supervision as needed.
