Facility in Portland, Oregon. This is a travel nursing job for an RN in Labor and Delivery with Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing.

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting, assessing maternal and fetal health.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols (e.g., preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress).
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results; assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing as assigned.

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills.
• Physical Abilities: able to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
