Providence Mother and Baby Clinics is seeking a part‑time Lactation Consultant who is either a Family Nurse Practitioner (strongly preferred) or Certified Nurse Midwife to join a well‑established and collaborative practice. This position will be primarily based at Providence Portland Medical Center, with additional coverage provided across Portland metro area clinics, offering variety and connection to a broader patient population.
In this role, you will support recently delivered mother-baby couplets during the postpartum period in a lactation-focused outpatient setting. You will work closely with pediatricians and OB/GYN providers to ensure smooth post-discharge follow-up for both mother and infant, delivering ongoing lactation support for families who c
Position Highlights:- Part‑time, 0.6 FTE at 3‑days per week
- Every 3rd weekend (2‑weekends off/1‑weekend on)
- No call required, no after‑hours beyond 6:00pm
Qualifications:
- Open to new graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (strongly preferred) or Certified Nurse Midwives with previous postpartum, or pediatric RN experience
- FNP or CNM License, DEA licensure, PEARS certification
- IBCLC certification to be obtained within 12-months of hire with financial assistance from Providence
- Guaranteed base salary and annual value‑based incentive
- Starting bonus and up to $15,000 relocation assistance
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) funds and hours
