Within the operating room (OR) and perioperative services, the Operating Room Manager will oversee modern surgical suites designed for precision, efficiency, and safety, including 5+ ORs, a robust stroke center program, new technology across the platform, and a full RN staff committed to seamless patient flow and optimal outcomes; as an OR Nurse Assistant Director-level leader at heart, this role strengthens block utilization, turnaround times, and evidence-based perioperative standards that keep cases on time and care teams synchronized.
Reporting to an experienced Director of Surgical Services, the Operating Room Nurse Manager partners closely with an OR Nurse Assistant Director, anesthesia leadership, surgeons, sterile processing, and perioperative informatics, while directly supporting charge RNs, CNOR-prepared staff, surgical technologists, and perioperative educators; this Operating Room Nurse Manager will guide staffing and scheduling, throughput, surgeon relations, quality and safety initiatives, infection prevention, budget stewardship, talent development, onboarding, and performance improvement—within a warm, collaborative culture of friendly nurses and a diverse, interdisciplinary team where every voice matters.
