Positions Available:
Weekend part-time shift. Day (6:00 a.m.

-2:00 p.m.) and Evening (2:00pm-10:00pm) shifts, Saturday and Sunday.

General Purpose The primary role of the CNA is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents based on their assessment and care plan, and as directed by supervisors.

Essential Duties Resident Identification & Care:

Use wristbands or photo cards to accurately identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals.

Ensure the resident’s room is prepared (e.g., bed made, name tags up, admission kit available).Greet residents, escort them to their rooms, and introduce them to their roommates and other residents.

Documentation & Reporting:

Record all observations and treatments in an informative and descriptive manner on flow sheets, notes, and charts.

Report any changes in resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.

Document and report all accidents and incidents observed during the shift.

Maintain confidentiality of resident health information and report any suspected violations or unauthorized access attempts.

Resident Assistance:

Assist residents with daily functions, including dental care, bathing, grooming, dressing, and undressing.

Ensure residents are comfortable, keep them dry, and assist with medical test preparations.

Help residents with personal possessions, including packing and storing clothing, and assist with transfers and transportation.

Health & Safety:

Monitor and record vital signs (temperatures, pulses, respirations), and report any changes.

Ensure residents’ personal care needs are met, and check frequently on residents who cannot call for help.

Observe and report any pressure areas, skin breakdowns, or injuries of unknown source.

Team

Collaboration:

Participate in shift meetings and nursing reports to address problem areas and improve services.

Cooperate with inter-departmental and facility personnel to maintain adequate nursing services.

Follow work assignments and schedules as directed by supervisors.

Compliance & Procedures:

Follow established policies and procedures regarding exposure to blood/body fluids and infection control.

Report occupational exposures and defective equipment.

Maintain a warm and positive atmosphere throughout the unit and adhere to all confidentiality policies.

Supervisory Requirements No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 10th grade education.

Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.

CPR certification preferred.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and regulations.

Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different forms.

Physical Demands Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use office equipment.

May need to assist in evacuating residents during emergencies.

Work Environment The noise level is usually low to moderate.
