Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Services
Position: 1.0 FTE full‑time, Evening shift, weekdays & weekends.
ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional registered nurse who reports to the unit director/manager and uses the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities during their shift. The ANM supports the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and maintains a managerial presence for all shifts.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing clinical and non‑clinical caregivers and providing input on performance evaluation.
- Ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, policies, and clinical priorities.
- Implementing and monitoring compliance, coaching, mentoring, and collaborating to deliver quality health care to patients.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BS or BSN). RN experience prior to November 1 2024 is encouraged to pursue the BSN; obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
- Oregon Registered Nurse license upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification – American Heart Association upon hire.
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
- Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Shared Governance experience.
