JOB TITLE: Clinical Nursing Supervisor
SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing
HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs/Exempt (Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm)
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Services
HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days

PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Clinical Nurse Supervisor plays a key leadership role in supporting high-quality, patient-centered care through both direct clinical involvement and administrative oversight. While this position includes designated administrative time to manage staffing and operational responsibilities, it is essential that the Supervisor remains visible and accessible to their team. Regularly scheduled time to participate in patient care or clinical workflows is a core expectation of the role, ensuring the Supervisor maintains a current understanding of daily challenges, evolving workflows, and team dynamics.
This balance of clinical presence and administrative leadership is critical to fostering a responsive, efficient, and collaborative care environment.
- Oversee daily clinical operations of back-office clinical staff including Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, EMTs, CNAs, and Administrative Nursing Support, in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
- Provide strong clinical judgment and nursing expertise to support patient care delivery.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all departments within the assigned branch to effectively assist with daily workflows, staffing coverage, training and cross departmental support.
- Conduct routine rounding throughout the clinic to monitor care quality, staff performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clear line of communication with clinical staff, providing timely guidance, clinical oversight, and daily support.
- Perform patient assessments, prepare patients for exams and procedures, assist providers as needed during exams or treatments.
- Triage phone calls and walk-in patient, as needed; assess needs and coordinate appropriate care, documentation, and follow-up.
- Administer and document medications as ordered by providers. Maintain compliance with controlled substance policies and clinic protocols.
- Perform staff nurse responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure staff compliance with clinical policies, procedures, safety protocols, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
- Participate in emergency response activities (e.g., Code Team) and maintain current CPR certification.
- Ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment, clean and safe work environments, and adherence to blood borne pathogen prevention policies.
- Lead or support daily team huddles.
- Oversee vaccine management processes, including lot manager, ordering, temperature excursions, and adequate supply levels.
- Ensure timely ordering of clinical supplies and routine calibration of medical equipment.
- Travel between clinic locations as required to support staffing and operational needs.
- RN graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid Oregon Nursing License
- Current CPR certification
- Three years of clinical healthcare experience
- Electronic Health Record Experience
- Previous leadership experience
- 3+ years in an ambulatory clinic setting
- EPIC experience
- Strong clinical and people management skills
