Responsibilities- Assist licensed nursing staff in providing care tailored to patient needs based on condition, development, and age.
- Participate in implementing the interdisciplinary care plan.
- Adapt and organize care plans considering patient preferences and routines.
- Support patient self-care and independence.
- Recognize and respond to signs of normal and abnormal mental functions and behaviors, especially in cognitively impaired patients.
- Maintain a safe environment, use infection control procedures, and handle restraints properly.
- Identify signs of common diseases and communicate findings promptly.
- Assist with basic nutrition and hydration needs.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies following established procedures.
- Complete documentation accurately and timely.
- Understand and operate within the legal scope of CNA practice.
- Maintain current certification and perform within the scope of practice.
- Demonstrate ongoing competency in technical skills through education and clinical experience.
