Doernbecher (DCH) 9S Pediatric Acute Care Surgical (PACS) is a 24-bed unit providing evidence-based, acute care for pediatric patients and their families from birth to young adulthood. Services that admit to DCH 9S PACS include and are not limited to:
General Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and General Peds overflow. Our Mission: DCH 9S PACS is a people-centered, interdisciplinary, team-based system of coordinated patient care. The team will provide individualized, excellent care for all pediatric patients by working together with departments and specialists across Doernbecher and OHSU to ensure every patient and family receive the right care, at the right place and at the right time by the right people.

The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. • 9N Pediatric Acute Care Medical is a 24‑bed unit providing evidence‑based, acute care for pediatric patients and their families from birth to young adulthood. Services that admit to DCH PACM include and are not limited to:
General Pediatrics, Kaiser Pediatrics, Adolescent Health, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, and General Surgery overflow.

• The PACM nurses partner in care with clinicians, dieticians, OT/PT services, pain services, social work, case managers, child life, schoolteachers, and pharmacists to provide children with the best possible individualized care.

• Minimum score of 11/18 on the OHSU Nurse Interview Evaluation Tool.
• Successful completion of unit orientation.

• BSN Graduates:
  Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by CCNE, ACEN or CNEA within 30 days before start date.
• ADN Graduates:
  Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program within 30 days before start date.
• Associate degree Nurses must enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
• Current Oregon State Registered Nurse License, unencumbered.
• BLS from AHA required; new hires will be enrolled and required to complete during orientation.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
