Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The nurse will work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The schedule will include variable days of the week. Occasional weekends will be required based on unit needs. No on-call duties are expected. Holidays may be required as needed by the unit. Patient ratios during the day are 1:1 to 1:2 and nights are 1:1 to 1:2.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed. Travelers must complete any assigned education within one week of the assignment. A finalized request for time off must be included with submission. No time off will be allowed during the first week of the assignment. Travelers may be mandatorily canceled one shift every two weeks without cause or penalty.
Compliance documents must be completed prior to the start date. RNs must complete an Epic Test-Out Module prior to assignment. Failure to pass the test-out will result in a mandatory training course. The nurse will assist with a variety of tasks, including high-risk deliveries, newborn care, and postpartum care. Additional duties include administering medications, performing assessments, and providing education to patients and families.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to act decisively in emergencies. Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are essential for success in this role.
