We are accepting applications to be considered for Part‑Time Faculty assignments in both the Clinical and Skills Lab areas of Nursing at the Sylvania Campus. The department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part‑time faculty. Applicants may be considered for substitute assignments as well as full‑term class assignments. This is an interest pool for the 2018‑19 academic year.
Scopeof Work – Clinical Instructor
Supervises, instructs, and evaluates nursing students in a clinical setting. An instructor is assigned to a clinical site for 2 days or evenings a week/term. The instructor will supervise between 6 to 8 students at one time. Primary communication will be with the appropriate nursing faculty team coordinator; the instructor reports to the director of the Nursing Program.
Scope of Work – Skills Lab InstructorInstructs and evaluates nursing students in the on‑campus skills lab. Each lab provides an instructor‑student ratio of 1:6. There are 2 to 3 instructors assigned to each lab session. Primary communication will be with the skills lab team coordinator; the instructor reports to the director of the Nursing Program.
Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (a majority of the part‑time faculty must hold a Master’s degree in nursing, as required by ACEN Standard
2) - At least two years of nursing experience
- Hold a current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Oregon

Part‑Time Faculty Compensation at PCCNewly hired Part‑Time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
