Role
The Med Surg Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac data, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
ResponsibilitiesExplain procedures, administer medications, conduct assessments, prepare patients for diagnostics, maintain a safe environment, document care, manage multiple patients, follow infection control practices, advocate for patients, facilitate discharges, and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications & SkillsRequires at least one year of recent Med Surg RN experience, valid RN license, current BLS certification, critical thinking, excellent communication, physical ability to perform duties, and proficiency in technical and interpersonal skills. Additional certifications like ACLS or NIHSS are preferred.
