Travel RN - Pediatrics

Overview

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum position in Oregon, requiring active OR licensure, Epic experience, and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in postpartum, antepartum, or LDRP unit required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
• COVID vaccination proof required — no exemptions accepted

• Mother-Baby Unit within a hospital setting serving postpartum, antepartum, and gynecological patients, including high‑risk populations
• Well newborn care provided as part of a rooming-in service model
• Patient ratios are state-mandated: 1:3 for stable normal couplets and 1:2 for couplets with complications (e.g., late preterm, maternal magnesium sulfate therapy)
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Floating to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred certifications include Maternal Newborn Certification, Inpatient Obstetric Certification, and IBCLC (International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant)
• Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference completed by the supervising manager from that assignment
• Candidates must have been away from this facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks
