Position: LPN (PRN)

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct clinical care at the Sobering and Deflection Center for individuals experiencing acute intoxication, substance‑related impairment, or behavioral health crises. Under the Medical Director’s supervision, the LPN performs medical screening, clinical observation, CLIA‑waived testing, and administration of approved comfort medications to ensure participant safety and stabilization. The LPN supports diversion from emergency departments and the criminal justice system with trauma‑informed, person‑centered service aligned with OHA Sobering and Deflection Center program standards.

Skills

& Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Oregon.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Eligibility to perform CLIA‑waived testing under the organization’s CLIA certificate.
  • Knowledge of substance‑use intoxication, withdrawal, trauma‑informed, and culturally responsive care.
  • Preferred experience in sobering or detoxification centers, emergency or urgent care, behavioral health or substance‑use disorder treatment, or community or correctional health settings.
  • Valid identification.
Hourly Rate

$31–$37.20 per hour.
