Nurse Educator – Professional Development Specialist (Providence Office Park, Portland, Oregon)
This full‑time, day‑shift exempt position is not remote. Regular schedule Monday‑Friday day shift. Eligible external hires who meet qualifications can receive an $8,000 hiring bonus.
The RN Coordinator – Clinical Educator reports to the Regional Manager of Clinical Orientation and Development and is accountable for the operation of Providence Regional Nursing Orientation (PRNO) and agency staff orientation. Responsibilities include evaluating, coordinating, and administering nursing orientation and new‑hire competency assessment, and authoring, implementing, and evaluating regional clinical education and competency assessment activities across the care continuum.

- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Master’s Degree in a Master Program, or enrollment in such a program
- Oregon Registered Nurse license upon hire
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
- 3 years experience in nursing education or leadership
- 5 years experience in acute care nursing
Base pay range $50.14 to $77.83 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
