Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Nursing Position
Provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP environment, ensuring effective treatment and patient safety. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition and gather relevant health data prior to procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes during interventions.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Oversee the supervision and delegation of tasks to nursing team members to maintain quality care standards.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
- Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate at least two years of recent nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
