Neonatal Intensive Care Transport Nurse
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill infants in a pediatric transport setting. Responsible for ensuring safe transport and delivering high-quality care during flights and ground transfers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute patient transports via flight, vehicle, or rotor, adhering to safety protocols.
- Administer neonatal and pediatric emergency and routine care during transport, including ventilator management and medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with medical teams, facilities, and transport crew to ensure seamless patient handoff.
- Complete required documentation in electronic health records accurately and promptly.
- Participate in flight and transport training, including flight safety and orientation with Life Flight.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements, including Oregon and Washington RN licenses.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Oregon State or Washington RN license prior to start, with proof of application and fingerprinting if applicable.
- Demonstrate minimum one year of recent NICU or pediatric critical care experience as an RN.
- Possess flight transfer or mobile patient transport experience.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system required.
- Be able to obtain a 90-day Oregon temporary RN license if needed.
- Ability to pass background screening with no felony convictions.
