The Knight Cancer Institute Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) outpatient clinic provides care for multiple different types of hematologic malignancies including Lymphomas, Leukemias and Multiple Myeloma.
We are seekingan Advanced Practice Provider who will provide clinical management of adult ambulatory patients with multiple myeloma to join our dedicated Myeloma Program.

Clinical Associate APP
, represented by the Oregon Nurses Association & Advance Practice United, subject to the active collective bargaining agreement.
This Clinical Associate-APP provides care in conjunction with a team comprised of physicians, APPs, RN coordinators, and other allied health professionals. APPs may practice both independently or in a shared-care model with physicians, as determined by the needs of the team. Additionally, this APP will perform procedures and may intermittently provide oversight to the infusion unit.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and demonstrate clinical knowledge and oncologic experience to support a complex patient population.
The Clinical Associate-APP delivers care aligned with a defined scope of practice in Outpatient Adult Medical Oncology
, with work expectations operationalized through departmental workflows, productivity standards, and performance expectations consistent with the collective bargaining agreement and institutional policies.
This role is structured to meet contract-defined work expectations, inclusive of daytime coverage, aligned with the clinical coverage model and patient care needs of the service. A fixed schedule will be determined at the time of hire and may include evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Clinical Responsibilities- APP will manage their own template of patients each day, including individuals undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, research, and long-term follow-up care. Shifts may include triage, consults, pre-treatment visits, urgent visits, and follow up.
- Work collaboratively with clinic management on process improvement projects
- Provide education to colleagues, staff and students
- May intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues
- Adhere to institutional clinical pathways, guidelines, and policies
- After appropriate proctoring, APPs will independently perform procedures. Procedures include but are not limited to:
- Bone Marrow Biopsy and Aspiration
- Lumbar Puncture
- IT chemotherapy
- Omaya
- Skin Biopsy
All APPs are expected to maintain professional standards in all aspects of role performance, including consistent participation in unit and departmental meetings, routine monitoring and timely response to organizational communications (e.g., email), and adherence to established deadlines for institutional and departmental requirements.
