American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift travel assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring an active Oregon RN license, prior travel experience, and telemetry interpretation skills.

• MS/Tele unit within a 536-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required
• 4:1 patient ratio
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units based on skill set is common, with additional floating possible to sister facilities in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, and Seaside
• Peripheral IV experience with remote telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active Oregon RN license (or compact) required, must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Peripheral IV therapy and telemetry interpretation/recognition skills required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Comfortable interpreting and recognizing telemetry rhythms for remote monitoring
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Scrubs may be any color, with OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided by the facility
• No parking fee at this location
• Teaching hospital environment offering exposure to a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry cases
