American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with at least 2 years of PACU experience and an active OR RN license to recover patients from cardiac cath, IR, endoscopy, and EP procedures.
Details- PACU unit within a hospital setting recovering patients from Cardiac Cath, EP, IR, and GI/Endoscopy procedures
- Provides cardiac monitoring and recovery for patients receiving moderate procedural sedation and general anesthesia
- 3x12-hour day shifts, , variable days with Tuesday starts
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- Floating to affiliate hospitals nearby may be required per unit needs
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license and OR RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required prior to first day (PALS also required)
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Adult Critical Care, Procedural, or ED experience within the last 5 years
- BSN, CCRN, CAPA, or CPAN certification preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with arterial/venous femoral access, sheath removal/management preferred
- Experience with anesthesia recovery (Phase I/II), TEE, cardioversion, and BMBx procedures preferred
- Charge RN or Shared Governance council experience preferred
- Strong communication, independent judgment, and time management skills required
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
- Coordinates complex patient care independently while collaborating with the healthcare team
- Serves as a role model supporting the facility's vision and mission
- Efficiently manages patient flow through the recovery unit
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restriction
- RTO must be submitted upfront and not exceed 2 weeks
- Former employees or travelers at this facility must have a 6+ month gap before returning
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required;
Charge RN references not accepted - Returning candidates must provide a reference from their previous OHSU manager
